Granny's Birthday Club

Screen-Shot-2012-02-05-at-12.37.31-PM.jpg

I was approached by the good folks at GIV3 to create a 2 minute video showcasing the story of 'Granny's Birthday Club'. We met and discussed the many possible approaches we could take to creating a video like this, and agreed upon a style that we all thought was best suited to the message of GIV3. Despite the simplistic visual style of this video, the process in which it was created was anything but simplistic. It required many steps of drawing, printing, tracing, scanning, compositing, tweaking, and that is before all the editing even begun! Enjoy the video and have a look at some production stills below.

This video was a lot of fun to work on, and I am always glad to be able to collaborate on projects for a good cause. Check out the video, and 'Like' or 'Share' it below!

Sebastien Vettel: Infinity F1

Ari at Imagination Creations was hired by Eclipse Productions as the key editor for Prism's featurette on Sebastien Vettel, produced by Patrick Barth, as an Infinity car driver for the Montreal Grand Prix. The job involved, amongst other things, a 36-hour editing session in order to produce a video by the following morning using footage from 2 broadcast cameras, mounted on race cars and helicopters a Go-Pro mounted to the front of Sebastien Vettel's car and a series of interviews.

Working with very talented cameramen and a well-managed team of producers, the video turned out to be a huge winner... as was Mr. Vettel for the 2011 Formula 1 season.

March of the Living

Screen-shot-2011-03-06-at-7.51.05-PM.jpg

I just returned from the 2011 March of the Living as the trip videographer for the Montreal delegation. This years trip included over 260 students from Montreal, and was as heartfelt and emotional as ever. Please watch the videos below to get a better understanding of what the trip had to offer.

------------------

Imagination Creations is very proud to have been hired to handle all filming and editing for the 2010 Montreal March of the Living. The March of the Living is a 2-week international trip where thousands of students and adults spend a week in Poland and a week in Israel.

They learn about and visit many of the death camps that saw the slaughter of 6,000,000 Jewish people and countless others during World War 2.

Imagination Creations was hired by the Bronfman Israel Experience Centre in Montreal. The requirements of this project included filming all facets of the trip including interviewing many students that found themselves in a very fragile state given the subject matter of the trip.

The project in the end was a great success. 250 copies of the 2.5+ hour DVD were given out at a launch party to a very eager crowd of students, parents and staff.

Here is one clip that has been viewed by over 3800 people online.

Pavilion K

This was one of the most well received projects we have worked on.  Feedback was outstanding and the event made for a very proud night for Imagination Creations. This 2-part project was shown before the Montreal launch of 'Barney's Version' at the Imperial Cinema. The event was put on by the Jewish General Hospital to introduce their next major expansion of the hospital.

From event producer, Lorne Levitt... Awesome... Just amazingly well done. You completely “got” my vision!

Part 1 was designed to thank all the donors for their incredible contributions and to inform them of the vast array of projects that their money has funded.  Our mandate was to outline all of this information in an exciting and action packed way that will immediately grab the attention of the audience.

Part 2 introduced Pavilion K, the next major enhancement to the hospital.  This expansion will ensure the future of the hospital and therefore the theme of 'the future' was critical in the design of this piece.

This event was produced by Total Events & Entertainment.

We look forward to our next project with Total as well as the Jewish General Hospital!

We Need A Student Centre

We Need A Student Centre

The Concordia Student Union created a media campaign to petition the University to give them a new Student Centre. In order to do so, they needed a series of videos explaining why this was necessary. We needed to get the student's point across in a way that was compelling and untraditional that would capture the attention of both the students and faculty of the University. Three videos were created in this series, each with their own unique flavour. Check out the videos below in high definition.

These videos were made through a collaboration of talent. Eclipse Productions produced and filmed the project hiring Imagination Creations as the editor as well as Jay Caplan as the director.
